There are 7 bastions surrounding the city of Brasov. This Weavers' Bastion has been built between 1421-1436 by local weavers community, in the Southwestern corner of the fortress of Brasov. Today it is a museum, having an exhibition about the fortified cities in Tara Barsei [Tzah`rah - Bahr`sey] and a collection of medieval battle costumes. The best attraction side of this museum is the scale model of Brasov, the way it looked back in 17th century. Weavers` Bastion is the host of many cultural shows during the year, like the great November Active Art in October.

Built between 1460 and 1494, the White Tower impresses even today by its massiveness and harmonious architectonical construction. Being placed at 59 m away from the fortress wall, this tower communicates with this wall by a mobile bridge that did link it with Graft Bastion. Inside this tower has been kept the smoke funnel above a hearth, that did serve as a fireplace as well for the guards and defenders - tin-workers and copper smith. With the great fire from April 21th 1689, the wild fire burned the White Tower too, this being restored only in 1723. A great place to see in Brasov's "Behind Walls" ("Dupa Ziduri" [Doo`pah - Zee`doorie]) area.
